Cinderella Coach

Please read my Terms of Use at the bottom of this tutorial. I hate having to state them, but in this day and age, it is necessary.

Everyone needs a little magic and belief in fantasy in their lives, so I made three little coaches to keep that little bit of magic alive. This is the second of the three coaches and there will be links to the other two at the bottom of this tutorial. I hope you will join me in this little bit of fantasy and make up at least one of the coaches. I want to thank Kathie at thePlace for her part in discussing these coaches and suggesting a glass one!

I did the work for this tutorial in PSP version 9, but I am sure the technique would work in other versions as well. This is an Alpha Channel Selections tutorial, and I hope it is clear enough for anyone trying it. The canvas was saved as a psp, so it should also work in verson 8. Remember to save often.

To do this tutorial, you will need a basic knowledge of PSP and my Cinderella Coach Canvas.

Unzip the cinderella_coach_canvas_ssg.psp into a folder of your choice. I usually make a folder with the name of the tutorial and put the supplies in there for easy access. I offer the directions merely as a guide for you. Be creative and use your imagination.

Remember to save often! You can save it as a pspimage in the folder of your choice. (This is another reason I have a folder with the name of the tutorial, so that I can also put my pspimages in it to save and "play" with later!)

Step 1. Open the cinderella_coach_canvas_ssg.psp in your PSP workspace, duplicate it and close the original. I will give directions for the colors I used, which are on their own layer in the canvas, but feel free to color the coach and its parts with your choice of colors. You will also notice three layers X'ed out - the visibility is turned off. These are the black cat, the mouse, the back tongue and the R rein layers. We will not use them until we get to those layers in the Layer Palettte. You can use the cat and mouse or not - you can also make or use your own. These tubes were made by me, so they are safe to use. I forgot to include the back wagon tongue and the R rein in the selections, so rather than have ithem out of order, I just filled them in and turned the visibility off. By already having the mouse and cat on their own layers, you won't have to Copy and Paste and resize - that part is already done. My tutorials are only written the way I did them - and are suggestions for you. Use your imagination - be creative! : )

Here is an example of how I played with my Cinderella coach. I merged my coach layers together and resized them.
